NCBM 0229 - NCBO BASE Foundations II 2 semester hour(s) Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 0
The two-hour NCBO supports students in developing skills, strategies, and reasoning needed to succeed in mathematics, including communication and appropriate use of technology. Topics may include the study of numeracy and the real number system; algebraic concepts, notation, and reasoning; quantitative relationships; mathematical models; and problem solving. The intervention may include a combination of instruction including lecture, online, hybrid, web-enhanced, workshops, and/or TBA to give each student the just-in-time support needed for success in their developmental course, MATH 0329 , or as a contextualized and/or integrated basic skills instructional support for a Career/Technical Education course. This course does not transfer or apply to graduation.
Prerequisite: Must be college ready in reading and writing according to TSI college-ready standards. Co-requisite: MATH 0329
