Upon completing the Level 1 Workforce Certificate, the students will be able to:
- Understand and apply federal regulations to maintain safety and compliance in aviation.
- Safely and effectively use shop tools and follow maintenance practices.
- Describe the scientific principles of flight and the operation of aircraft systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical components relevant to aviation.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the aviation history, including career opportunities and regulatory agencies.
This certificate equips students with the foundational skills required for entry-level roles in aviation or further training in specialized aviation areas.
Progression to the next term in the Aviation Maintenance Technology Program is contingent upon successful completion of all courses in the current term. Students must earn a minimum grade of “C” (defined as 70% or higher) in each course to pass and continue in the program.
