Electrical, Certificate Level I

The Electrical program at Howard College prepares students for entry into the electrical industry by providing foundational knowledge and hands-on training in residential and commercial electrical systems. Students engage in both classroom instruction and lab-based learning to develop technical skills and apply industry standards in a controlled environment. The program includes a practicum experience in partnership with local businesses, allowing students to gain valuable real-world experience under the supervision of professionals in the field. Upon successful completion of the certificate, students are eligible to apply to take the Residential Wireman License exam through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). Graduates will be equipped with the communication skills, technical competencies, and industry exposure needed to begin a career in the electrical trade.
