RNSG 1309 - Introduction to Nursing
3 semester hours
3 hours lecture, 3 hours lab
Overview of nursing and the role of the professional nurse as provider in patient-centered care, patient safety advocate, member of healthcare team, and member of the profession. Contents include knowledge, judgment, skills, and professional values with a legal / ethical framework.
Prerequisite: 14 hours of required support courses, including a minimum of BIOL 2402 and one other science course
Co-requisite: RNSG 1261 , RNSG 1115
